Every year, billions to trillions of American tax dollars are spent on "Defense." But what are we defending? Is this money going toward defending our country from enemies, both foreign and domestic? Or is the money going toward defending oil fields or "Democracy" in other parts of the world that involve no danger to our soil.
What I am suggesting is differentiation between what is protecting American citizens and what is protecting those in other parts of the world rather than covering it all in the blanket statement of "National Defense." People should know exactly how much money is being spent on military operations that have nothing to do with defending our nation.
