A bill to require healthcare providers to notify their customers(patients) if THEY change their networks; to require doctors to have cost/benefit discussions with their patients before service is rendered in non-emergency conditions and to get approval from patients in those same situations if they change prescriptions to a higher cost; to require insurance companies to pay providers in a timely fashion; to set limits on the length of time billing can be made following a service rendered; to hold insurance companies to agreements that they have made to the patient regarding coverage over the phone or in writing regarding specific coverage.
