Create a due process for divorces to prevent one spouse from slowing the process to extract more money from another

Created by K.A. on July 04, 2014

This petition seeks that a limit be placed upon how long a divorce can take (maximum) to go through.

Because there is no limit, divorces can stretch out for years when one spouse
-abuses the abilities of the law and draws it out to continue spending the other's money
-using the main provider's house (and/or destroying property that both technically still own preceding finalized divorce)
-and generally preventing the other from moving on with their life.

It should target those who are non-"breadwinners" for the family and draw out the process for personal gain or to cause trouble for the other.

If one spouse (especially the primary breadwinner) seeks a divorce, it should HAVE to go through in at least one year, especially when abuse and purposeful debt are inflicted upon them.
