As Americans, we can all agree that the more people who vote, the stronger our democracy will be. President Obama, in his 2012 Election Night victory speech said, “I want to thank every American who participated in this election...whether you voted for the very first time or waited in line for a very long time. By the way, we have to fix that.” By creating a system where we can make our voices heard online, the problem of voters who “waited in line for a very long time” can be fixed. With four years before the next presidential election, the federal government has the time and the opportunity to guarantee easy, secure and most importantly fast access to one of the rights that makes our democracy the strongest in the world.
