One of the tools for the 21st Century, the White House Tax Receipt, is an amazing source of information to see what your income taxes pay for. Many government agencies could benefit from additional funds, so long as those funds are provided voluntarily. Imagine the impact a central revenue program could have if you could select one or more agencies and donate at tax time, or any time at all.
How could we prevent donated money from becoming an excuse to slash budgets? How could we prevent kickbacks to government agencies & the potential for corruption?
