The United States needs an effective physical barrier along our border with Mexico, not just a nonsensical "virtual" fence that could easily result in intimidation and bribery of border agents by drug cartels. Lack of a fence is an open invitation to illegal immigration. Construction of an effective barrier would provide needed employment for US citizens, improve homeland security, and keep violent criminals out of our communities.
If you refuse to lock your doors, it is unrealistic to be surprised by strangers in your house. If you always leave your doors and windows wide open, you are simply asking for trouble.
