Democrats typically are against the lawful ownership of any device that can be lethal. This is true generally because they lack the maturity and judgement required to handle the responsibility of gun ownership. They generally do not trust themselves with a weapon and based upon a superiority complex acquired from years of unearned adulation and PC brainwashing, they feel that no other person can be trusted with the responsibility either, since they can't handle it.
