An Executive Order needs to be enacted that does two things:
1. Congress representatives will be capped at six two year terms for the House of Representatives and two six year terms for members of the Senate. The staggered terms will remain in place as they are now.
They will also receive $100,000 annually for their service. It is from that allotment that they will need to pay for all of their living and travel expenses.
2. They will no longer receive a pension as serving in the federal government is a civic duty and right, not a career.
Once they have reached their term limit, or been voted out of office, they will have to return to the working world and earn their way. They will be subject to all of the same laws, regulations and stipulations as every other American citizen.
