In light of the recent events involving Mike Brown, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner and the countless other incidents of use of excessive force by police; we the people demand greater accountability of those sworn to protect us. It is appalling that these officers not only took the lives of these individuals, but also will never see a day in court for it. Cameras on police may discourage bad behavior, but what value does the footage have if it is never examined in a court of law? We must send a clear message that officers of the law, whether they are county, state or federal, are not exempt from it and will have their actions examined in a trial by an impartial prosecutor and judged by a jury of their peers. We demand mandatory trials for all officers involved in civilian deaths.
