Require the president to disclose at the State of the Union Address the current total national debt, the annual deficit, and the changes from the previous year. This should be stated in absolute terms and the averages per taxpayer.
The president should make this requirement an executive order immediately and include this information in the next State of the Union Address. Congress should pass this requirement into law.
