It would be in the best interest of our government to form an academic grade exploratory committee for the systematic investigation into the alarming rate of obesity in the United States. Obesity is a top killer in America. It costs Americans millions of dollars to pay for the climbing costs of medicare in America. I say we spend that money more wisely by a comprehensive prevention plan. This would include money going to independent research firms. Research into why Americans are so overweight and have had such an increase in food allergies. (GMO's, Animal hormones and antibiotics, etc.) Let's start with an exploratory committee to come up with ways to tackle this. Grants should be given to Universities and Scientists that want to research this topic some more. Investigate it NOW!
