Disputing a error on your credit report is like pulling your own teeth! It's your word against the creditor and the credit bureau's are not on your side. To get an error removed can take years, which causes most people to not try and effects millions of lives. Even with proof of an error, the bureaus usually just recheck the creditors information.
This needs to be changed with a national disputing board that you can file grievances thru and make the credit bureau and collectors accountable.
