Something needs to be done about redistricting for the sake of one party gaining an unfair advantage over the majority. Redistricting should be based upon population and nothing more. It should not be done based upon sex, race, or political view. Our system is a majority rule system. It should not be set up so that even if one person receives the majority of votes, the loser still wins. Unfortunately some states are abusing this duty, making yet another federal agency necessary to curb their desire to trample on civil rights. These agencies should be non-partisan and only based upon numerical changes in the population in each district.
