Create a Federal Anti-Bullying Law

Created by J.S. on December 05, 2014

A Federal Anti-Bullying Law is needed to protect the rights of all students in the U.S. adequately and equally, since not all states currently have anti-bullying law. Continued bullying has lead to many suicides and school shootings in the U.S. along with anxiety, depression, school avoidance, and a decrease in grades. However, little as been done to put an end to it. A federal law is need that provides bullying education, bullying prevention, counseling to victims and bullies, and a clear set of procedures that each state can implement to respond to instances of bullying. Additionally, the law needs to have a clear definition of bullying, that also includes cyber bullying. Now is the time to stand up for our children and put an end to bullying, in order for them to have a better future.
