It was confirmed today that an assault riffle was the only weapon used to murder the children and faculty of Sandy Hook Elementary School. It was also confirmed that all of the victims were struck by more than one bullet. The weapon in question, an A1 Semi-Automatic .223 Bushmaster (complete with a 30 round magazine), was purchased legally in CT-- a state that was supposed to have "strict gun laws."
Not long ago, Mr. President, you told the American people that your primary job is to keep us safe. We live in the greatest country on earth. A country that affords its citizens freedom by law. But that freedom can't come at the expense of our safety.
The final death toll at S.H. Elementary includes 20 students and 6 faculty.
