With this petition you would enable every law abiding citizen the right to carry a concealed weapon in all 50 states enabling themselves to protect his/her family. Make it mandatory that all individuals attempting to gain a Federal Conceal Weapons permit be required to take a 2 day, 16 hour, safety and handling course.

J. of Legal Studies, vol.26, n.1, pp.1-68 (Jan. 1997): This study involved county level crime statistics from all 3,054 counties in the U.S., from 1977 through 1992. During this time ten states adopted right-to-carry laws. It is estimated that if all states had adopted right-to-carry laws in 1992 the US would have avoided 1,400 murders, 4,200 rapes, 12,000 robberies, 60,000 aggravated assaults.
