The economic productivity gains across the nation on the day after the Super Bowl are significantly lower than those on typical Mondays. Due to a steadfast rule by the NFL to keep the game on "Super Sunday," it behooves this nation to declare Monday after the Super Bowl a federal holiday. This will incentivize more service industry revenue on Super Sunday and will reduce productivity losses for other businesses on Monday. Overall, if enacted, the nation would benefit tremendously from an economic standpoint.
