Create a Federal Holiday that coincides with State and Federal Elections and empowers citizens to vote on election day.

By creating a Federal Holiday that occurs on Election day we have the opportunity to show our support for voters rights, to educate the American people about the importance of voting, and to encourage more Americans to participate in their democracy. This holiday will send a message to those in our our own country who would suppress voters rights and to countries around the world who yearn for democratic elections. We have the opportunity to make voting and the protection of voters rights a part of our national psyche. Let's do this!
