We the undersigned, call on the White House to create a federal holiday for the Monday after the Super Bowl. This would benefit millions of people by encouraging social activities with family and friends. We know that you don’t have to follow football to watch the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is one of best shows of the year. America tunes in to watch the commercials, the halftime show as well as the game itself. Additionally it would endorse safer driving practices by removing the temptation to drive home drunk just to be ready for work in the morning.
We ask that if this is considered, the day be known as ‘Family Appreciation Day’.
