Create a federal law allowing volunteer first responders the ability to leave work without punishment from employer.

Created by C.A. on December 24, 2012

Emergency workers perform a necessary service to their communities and need to be able to leave work to do those duties. I hope you would introduce or support a Federal Law or Statute allowing emergency first responders to leave work for an incident without any retaliation or disciplinary action by the companies and/or employers they work for. We are sure Firefighters and other emergency responders, as well as the citizens of U.S. communities will appreciate the knowledge that their homes and lives are safe during business hours.

Included is a list of states and their laws regarding volunteer firefighting and other emergency responders time for their duties.
