Create a federal law that mandates all law enforcement officials to wear a body camera.

Created by S.H. on April 14, 2015

Law enforcement officials should be required to wear body cameras while on duty. Simply put, there have been too many situations where there have been disputes about if excessive force was used.
The societal repercussions that stem for alleged police brutality include rioting, as well as vast public uneasiness because the element of trust has all but evaporated between enforcers of the law and the everyday citizen.
The use of force is obviously necessary when dealing with criminal activities; however, this is also a huge responsibility to carry. Therefore, to keep officers in check we must have a system of monitoring the officer on the individual level.
We can then view how events unfolded through the eyes of the specific law enforcement official and can better cast judgement on events.
