Create a Federal Law that requires all U.S. K-14 schools to apply specific security measures.

Created by M.P. on January 26, 2013

We should be concerned about the shootings that continue to occur in U.S. K-14 schools. As tax payers,we need to hold our legislatures accountable to its constituents by passing laws that will increase the safety of schools as part of their education budget. Our schools have the responsibility to provide security for our children. Sufficient is just not enough. Less than 2% of US schools have metal detectors. Schools need to raise their standards.1992 study showed that there was a 35% decrease in violence after the placement metal detectors in OK schools. Our schools need to identify each individual who enters the premises with government-issued identification. Ending the ease of access! There are over 40 schools that had shooting incidents since 1994. When do we say enough is enough?
