Our country provides billions of dollars in assistance to people every month. Hard working families that fall on hard times should get a helping hand when needed. These families should get job training, food stamps, unemployment, and whatever else they need to get back on their feet again. Once these families are gainfully employed, the benefits should stop, and they begin to pay taxes again.
If we are giving government benefits to those who use illegal drugs, one can only assume that they do not desire to find gainful employment. In order to get a job, usually you have to pass some sort of drug test. If you do not want a job, then you have no need for help. If I have to pass a drug test to find work to pay the taxes that pay for your groceries, you should pass a drug test too.
