Given recent widespread incidences of sexual assault on college campuses, as well as the continued challenges victims of sexual assault face every day, it is vital that the Obama Administration create a federal law mandating enthusiastic consent to any and all sex acts one participates in. This law would mirror the policy already put forth by the Obama Administration through the "It's On Us" campaign. It is time to eliminate the grey areas which remain when a sexual act occurs between and/or amongst persons. Put the burden on each participant to establish and confirm their partner(s)' consent to the sex act(s) being engaged in. Too many men and women have suffered from rape and sexual assault and far too many assaults have gone unavenged. It is time for REAL, legislative change.
