This petition is to urge the Obama Administration to create a federal law that will mandate a psychological evaluation to be preformed on an individual that wishes to purchase a firearm. In these United States we have grievously had to many mass shooting by individuals. We the people understand that it is a given right to purchase and legally carry guns, so this method of psychological evaluation by a mental health professional would defiantly reduce who purchase firearms. If the people are willing to go through paperwork for a licence to purchase, then they shouldn't mind making a quick visit to their local mental health professional to get cleared. Like President Obama has said,"As a country, we have been through this too many times."
