We the people are tired of the federal dancing around the definition of marriage. We would like to petition the Administration to take the following stand on marriage.
This petition is to remove federal law out of gay or straight marriage stances.
1. Decree that federal government takes no stand on marriage and has no entitlement over the word, or the definition, but will be left up to the people of each state to determine the definition of what is proper for marriage.
2. Federal government will abide by the states decision to what can be filed as a legitimate marriage based on the state of residence. This prevents circumventing the system by going to a neighboring state that has different laws.
3. Require states to submit forms upon changes to Marriage declarations to the IRS.
