Create a federal lottery to stimulate economic growth and reduce the cost of fuel.

Created by J.M. on September 22, 2011

I like the lottery, I like how it pools a ton of money together and helps out with state education costs. What if there were a new federal lottery, zoned by state, where the prize was divvied up as much as possible to reward the most amount of people a large amount around 4 or 5 hundred thousand dollars. Then the leftover cash goes into government purchasing of fuel to reduce state fuel costs at the pump.

If just one 150 million dollar powerball prize were split into many more smaller prizes, it would turn the lottery into not only a fund raiser for fuel, but would give a few hundred people a lot of spending money to throw back into the economy every drawing.

Three hundred people a month makes 3600 people per year per state. Every town in the state would see the results of this.
