The 111th Congress introduced 427 bills to name post offices, while the 112th introduced, as of August 1, 2012, 60 bills to rename post offices. It is no secret that congress uses worthless bills such as these to placate their constitutions and manipulate them into believing that their congressman is doing something productive. This nonsense has to stop.
We have troops on the ground, a still broken healthcare system, a fractured economy, and an impending debt ceiling. It is time for congress to focus less on partisan politics and egos, and more on doing the actual work they were sent to Washington to accomplish.
