The changes needs to start with the sources of the problem which is the huge amounts of pollution by corporations, industries, and vast amounts of automobiles emitting gases.
WAYS TO FIX THE PROBLEMS IN THE US
There must be central planning
Pollution must be controlled and tightly enforced.
Monopoly structure of system must be broken up (currently, the largest oil companies control the production, refining, transportation, and retail distribution of oil and are the largest owners of coal, uranium, and geothermal energy.)
There must be mandatory conservation measures.
The government must subsidize efforts to obtain alternative do that the public good, not profit, is the primary aim. Not only do wealthy nations need set an example, they need to work at the international level.
