The right to vote is just as much a constitutional right as any other embodied in our Constitution.
CONCERN
Recently, state laws have been passed that prevent people who otherwise qualify to vote. It is unethical to prevent qualifying voters from voting. Federal requirements are insufficient to ensure our Constitutional right is protected, and is not cost or logistically prohibitive.
SOLUTIONS
Enable voters with free standardized federal voter IDs w/ photos from Social Security and representative mobile units.
Create federal standards to expand voting hours and voting conditions (e.g., toilets, ratio of voting booths to the number of registered voters) to ensure reasonable conditions are in place.
Establish federal election day a national holiday, ensuring maximum voter turnout.
