America is in need of a Federal financial education program to educate our citizens on creating monthly budgets, paying off debt, saving for emergencies and retirement, investment opportunities, and highlight the benefits of living debt-free.
In America, many individuals are never given a foundation to be successful with their personal finances. Many lower/middle class families struggle to better their economic standing over previous generations due to this lack of education. U.S. credit card debt is almost $800B according to the Federal Reserve. Average credit card debt per household is almost $16,000.
It is time for a change. Time to give every American an opportunity to improve their future. Time to change our American consumerism and get out of living under control of our debtors.
