We propose the following measures:
A mandated manufacturer/distributor/retailer tax increase for all trade of firearms and ammunition.
A federal requirement for all gun owners to obtain a license for ownership, including background check, gun safety education, and mental background check.
The ban of all private gun or ammunition sales, without the use of background checks.
The institution of education and safety programs for all schools focusing on the prevention and reaction to potential threats.
The institution of a federal program offering free or low cost mental health care for anyone requiring assistance.
Add ammunition to the Gun Control Act of 1968, banning the sales of ammunition through mail-order, including internet sales.
