Create free parking for government employees at public transportation centers.

Created by M.B. on January 13, 2015

Parking for users of public transportation should be free.

Tens of thousands of federal employees in the greater Washington, DC area and across the country pay more than a thousand dollars a year to pay for parking at public transportation sites (i.e., pay to park then use public transportation to get to work).

This petition calls on the Federal government to provide parking at suburban mass transit centers (e.g., near the end of subway lines) where any Federal employees can park for free and commute into their jobs. For example, in the Washington, DC area, there should be free parking at the ends of Metro lines that ANY Federal employee can park at, not just staff from nearby agencies.
