The Russian occupation of Ukraine is a proxy war with the EU. Russia has made it clear that Ukraine has to choose between the EU and a Russian free trade agreement, and cannot sign both agreements. The best way to deal with Vladimir Putin's occupation is to have President Obama create a Free Trade Agreement between the US and Ukraine.
