Create a General Awareness Campaign About the Growing Epidemic of Hepatitis C. People need to be educated, get tested.

There needs to be a General Awareness Campaign about the Hepatitis C virus because it is killing more people than HIV/AIDS and it keeps spreading because people are unaware of how the virus is transmitted. It's associated with IV drug use and this stigma causes people not to seek treatment or get tested. Its spread by blood to blood contact so you can get it by any medical device not properly cleaned, tattoos, sharing razors and piercings. So many of our young people are at risk and don't know it. If there were infomercials about Hepatitis C this would help reduce the number of people who contract this deadly virus and help eliminate the stigma for those of us who have it. The government and media's silence have cost thousands of lives. Someone needs to stand up to stop this epidemic
