A service or campaign medal for service in the former West Germany from 1955-1990 called the Germany Defense Service medal. OR a Europe Defense Service medal with clasp for service in the European Theater of Operation's during the Cold War. We served on the worlds most dangerous border, had over 5500 KIA WIA is CLASSIFIED Pow/ Mia is CLASSIFIED, Combat Defensive Operation's ,Border duty with live ammo, full gear,full gas mask, ALERTS to counter the Soviet Warsaw Pact Forces and encountered Hostile Warsaw Pact Forces, Terrorist Attacks in the NATO Area of Operation's. We ALL earned this and our Government should create and award this medal to all US Forces who served in the ETO.
