Create a government facility allowing the safe use of illegal substances

I beleive that if we had government run facilities that allow the safe and legal use of illicit substances. This service would give people who would otherwise be using these substances under unsafe conditions access to medical professionals and ways to more safely use these substancss. Creating these facilities would not only decrease the amount of deaths from drug use they would decrease the spread of infectious diseases spread by the use of unsanitary equipmeny and reduce the amount of crimes committed by those under the influence of these substances. Aside from making the use of the substances safer and more controlled these facilities could have programs offering education for those that are using these substances unsafely and rehabilitation for addicts.
