This petition will create Government funded Homesteads in Alaska, Maine, and the Northern United States. These Homesteads will be open to any volunteers regardless of background, race, creed, or gender.
The homesteads will be Government owned for the first two years (negotiable) of existence and will receive government funding for building supplies, tools, crops, livestock, and goods.
After the two years are complete and the homestead is viable, the land defaults to the manager of the homestead and their family. The homestead will be turned over to the citizen/s who have been working on it during those first two years, not a private corporation or land owner.
This will create jobs, increase population, and provide a strong agricultural base for the economy.
