Theatre is one of the ways we educate and push forward the things our nation stands for. In a country as powerful as the United States, wouldn't we like to show our powerful commitment to innovation and freedom by investing in a national theatre like those that exist in most European countries?
This would take the pressure off of our greatest actors to pursue fame and fortune, instead, our finest theatre professionals would be content to work on art that can really help the world live together in peace. As it stands now, actors and directors have very little governmental support and are forced to take any job, whether the message is pure and good for the world or not. Help our finest artists to stand up for what's right and fund a national theatre for them, located in Washington, D.C.
