The United States government should create a program to bring together the scientists of the world to begin mass-scale work in nanorobotics for the purpose of curing currently incurable diseases so that this technology my by affordable to all of humanity. If completed by a pharmaceutical company, a price tag for such a technology would be so outlandish that most likely only the top %1 of Americans could afford it. Health should not depend on the depth of ones pocket book. Jonas Salk with his cure for polio recognized this virtue.
