Victoria's Law - proposed for the valiant and heroic Victoria Soto - should overhaul the nation's gun laws requiring country wide background checks, mandatory waiting periods, required mental health exams, limits to the number of firearms one person can own, and an unconditional ban on automatic, and semi-automatic assault weapons.
This is not reactionary to the events of Connecticut - this is legislation that is long overdue - and if we can't politicize the events at Sandy Hook, and talk about gun control NOW, when can we?
