Mass production of animal products and consumption of meat has produced an inhumane, ugly and undesirable reality for the animals on farms. Videos online reveal the horrors that animals endure and it's time for the government to regulate the care and treatment of these animals. The animals need to be treated with respect from birth until their last breath. The inhumane treatment of confining and improper care leads to disease in the animals that turn up on our plates after they are treated with antibiotics which is also a health issue for the consumer. With smaller farms and the correct staffing, animals can be treated more humanely and we can limit our exposure to the harmful antibiotics and animal byproducts that so many animals have forced upon them.
