If the federal government enact a hefty tax on gun ownership this will deter future un owners,it will deter owners from purchasing lots of guns as well as criminals.The tax should be retroactive back to 2010 to include the large numbers of people who have purchased huns since the Newtown Massacre.Make mandatory reporting on federal income tax return.
