It is no secret that we have the occasional "The World is going to end" theories, with anticipated hype about the theory's failure. I thought "Why not have a day every year where, possibly at random, we pretend the world is going to end?" If the world ended, what would we be proud of? what would we regret? These questions might be rushing through our minds come an apocalyptic outcome. So why not celebrate our success and our acknowledgment of our failures?
There will be more ideas for celebration as this holiday grows into a beautiful lotus, but some simple ideas would be having tournaments testing mental, dexterous, and physical prowess, perhaps apocalyptic themed, wherever applicable.
