As it stands right now: Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) benefits will end on December 31, 2012, unless the program is extended or augmented by the Federal government. All potentially eligible individuals will be notified if extended unemployment benefits become available in the future.
This means that MANY thousands of Americans will be without a source of income to keep a roof over their heads, feed their families, and pay utility bills in 2013 and until the Government sees fit to reinstate this program.
High Unemployment rates and lack of substantial job prospects DEMAND that this program continue!!
Siphon monies from the ultra-rich 1-2% who can certainly "spare a dime" during these bad times!
