Drivers have to take a test. Real estate agents have to take a test. Even bar tenders must pass a test before they can sling drinks. However, Senators, Congressmen & even The President have no such requirement.
The result is a governing body devoid of the basic knowledge needed to run the country. Therefore, I propose a standard exam that would have to be completed and passed BEFORE the name of said candidate could be included on any ballot.
This basic HIGH SCHOOL level exam would include, Civics, Math, History, Science & A Mental competency screening.
We are the greatest country on earth and our representatives should be of the same caliber. We don't allow untrained or incompetent people to preform surgery, why do we let them write and pass legislation?
