Ongoing misuse of police power has become very public recently. It's been going on for years and will continue without change. One example is the shooting of Philandro Castile . The school cafeteria supervisor was shot in a St. Paul, Minnesota, suburb on July 6, 2016, for no apparent reason.
We demand 1) all police departments in the U.S. A. reform by putting into place psychological testing and better training of all police officers; 2) officers involved in shooting, other killing or maiming of individuals, and their supervisors, be made accountable financially and through the criminal justice system for miscarriage of justice or brutality; 3)creation of an independent agency to oversee reform of police departments and assure that officers don't abuse powers with impunity.
