Current districting laws allow the majority party to periodically redraw voting districts, allowing them the opportunnity to create "safe" districts, allowing them to more easily retain and gain seats in the US house of Representatives. Several states have passed legislation allowing for a more independent, non-partisan method of drawing voting districts. It has proved successful and increased fairness and made more of our votes actually count. This is something we should pursue as part of election reform.
