There have been numerous issues with the Whistleblower programs at both the IRS and the SEC. Individuals have put their safety and careers on the line, only to be ignored by both agencies and treated as second class citizens on the cases that their information creates. In many cases, the only evidence acted upon is that gotten from whistleblowers, and as the effects of their activities are generally to the benefit of all americans, I suggest an independent third party panel be established to ensure that the United States Government does not imperiously decide to ignore their guarantee of compensation. The standards for that compensation are very vague, and this panel would be tasked toward making them more specific.
