We respectfully request an independent committee of an equal number of Republicans and Democrats be created in order to investigate the terrorist attacks on the American embassy on Sept. 11-12, 2012, as well as the events in the year prior that led to said attacks. In addition, the committee will investigate the role of General Petreaus' sexual affair in the subsequent cover-up. The members of this committee should have no political ties to any member of the current administration, House of Representatives or Senate.
The committee must have access to ALL the information involved, even that of national security with the understanding that the information will not be shared with the public if it can be determined it will be detrimental to the United States of America.
